My two week consulting trip to Bethel (the beginning of the end) Part 4
by seven006 inthe next day was going to be tough.
i had to do kind of a portfolio check session with the illustrators and work on some photo retouching for an up coming italian awake magazine and work with someone from the graphics department on the miniaturization issue.
as i walked around a little bit i noticed a large hell scanner sitting in a room with a plastic tarp over it.

i have quite a few problems with this, but he thinks that he knows it all at his age.. i'm concerned for several reasons.

I got the same crap going on in my household. Remember my son the 18 year old did the do with elders daughter well she gets df and he is no longer a pub ( oh joy) He now tells me he and her are getting married I went nuts No not here Is this the crap (cleaned up ) they tell you at the KH are they making you do this . What about college? He says they will be engaged for a while untill he gets things together. I told him i've never hear of engagements lasting 10 years. As long as you live here college is a must full time or part time with a parttime job. those are the rules here or see ya!! HE enrolled last week. I'm keeping a close watch. Girlfreind came over last week and I think she was just glad to have someone to talk to .I did give her a big hug I no she is going through a lot at home the DF thing and told her she can always talk to me . Just no surprises like weddings . Enjoy your youth. Remember she went to them and told what was goin on between her and my son. And now she is treated like S#%%#@t

I will never forget the phone call I got from south carolina 5 years ago. My sister was leaving an assembly in Florince SC when her witness boyfriend shot her in the parking lot then killed himself. It has forever changed our familys life. My mom has not been back to the hall since and ayear after my elder father died just not wanting to go on.

return of the prodical son (daughter)
by thebeliever ini left the jw's when i was 19. it was not easy.
my father was an elder, i had an older brother who didn't seem that "spiritual" who was just very frightened by my father.
my father and i were especially close and no one expected me to leave.

Kobe charged ! so sad !, will JW's use him as an example for their young ?
by run dont walk inanytime something went wrong in the world with an individual, they would use them as example over and over and over again.. the most common one i heard was brother a got into big trouble with __________ (insert problem here, pick any one), see this is what happens when you leave the organization.. so how many jw's will be saying ............. "did you hear what happened to kobe, big successful athlete, see he didn't have god's organization and satan got him.".
i wonder how many jw parents especially in the la area will make their kids stop wearing number 8. he did and admit to committing adultrey.
sexual assault, i don't think so.

Convention Report
by Euphemism ini just got back from my convention yesterday evening.
i'll be trying to catch up on the posts as time allows, but there is a very large volume; so if i miss any personal replies, please forgive me.. this was my first convention since i became mentally free, and it was just painful to sit through.
i used to be one of those dubs who actually enjoyed conventions.

Well done. The convention began here in cleveland last week and I think my wife goes next week. I drove past last week and could only think how all looked alike. A bunch of robots getting briefed. An artical in the paper here said 35,000 expected here in the next 4 weeks. I guess after the mom in law thing I want get invited this year. OH well life is good :}
